Color in the Mountains
Mel & Dave
Tabernash, Colorado
Set against the sweeping mountain views of Tabernash and the rustic elegance of Devil's Thumb Ranch, this wedding invitation suite was a love letter to color, texture, and togetherness.
From the very first impression, the suite celebrated the landscape that framed their day. Custom watercolor paintings of the surrounding mountains anchored the design, layered in a vibrant palette of bright peach, lilac, bold yellow, and fresh green — hues that felt joyful, confident, and completely alive. It was a reflection of the couple themselves: warm, welcoming, and full of heart.
Printed in letterpress on luxuriously soft cotton paper, each piece carried both depth and dimension. The tactile impression of ink meeting paper added a richness that felt timeless, while layered textures throughout the suite created a sense of thoughtful abundance. A wood veneer envelope liner brought in an unexpected natural element, echoing the ranch setting and grounding the colorful details with rustic refinement. Floral postage completed the look, adding one final romantic touch before the envelope was ever opened.
This wasn’t simply a collection of beautiful pieces — it was a celebration of family gathering in the mountains, of generations coming together, of laughter echoing beneath open skies. Every detail honored the setting, but more importantly, the love that filled it.
Bold in color. Rich in texture. Rooted in the mountains.
A true celebration of togetherness in one of Colorado’s most breathtaking places.
