Designed for a timeless Chicago celebration at the iconic Waldorf Astoria Chicago, this wedding invitation suite embodied understated luxury through a refined black-and-white palette and impeccably tailored details. The couple’s save the date featured a cinematic photograph taken in front of the Waldorf alongside the bride’s father’s classic car — a nod to old Chicago glamour and family legacy that set the tone for the entire wedding experience.

The invitation suite itself was crafted on sumptuous double-thick cotton cardstock with hand-painted black edges, giving each piece a substantial, heirloom-quality feel. A sophisticated mix of romantic script typography and timeless serif fonts created a balance between softness and structure, perfectly reflecting the couple’s traditional yet elevated aesthetic.

Thoughtful architectural details from the Waldorf were woven throughout the design. Most notably, the envelope liner mirrored the custom marble floor pattern found in the hotel’s iconic lobby, subtly tying the suite back to the venue in a way that felt intentional and deeply personal. Every element was curated with restraint and precision — from the clean monochromatic palette to the tactile richness of the materials.

The suite was finished with a luxurious black silk ribbon and adorned with carefully sourced vintage postage, adding a final layer of old-world elegance and collectibility. Altogether, the design felt timeless, editorial, and unmistakably Chicago — a modern love letter to classic luxury.
